Terms of Service

Effective October 21, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Reeltap (“Reeltap”, “we”, “us”) covering the Reeltap app and website (the “Services”). By downloading or using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. Who can use Reeltap

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. Your licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the rules of the app store you got it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App, except where the law expressly allows it or an open-source licence for a component says otherwise (see open-source licenses).

3. Your content

Videos, photos, audio, text and projects you create or import (“Your Content”) belong to you. Because editing happens on your device, we don't receive, host or claim any rights in Your Content. Caption text you choose to translate is processed only to return the translation, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for having all the rights, licences and permissions needed to use the footage, music, images and voices it contains — including music you import from your own library or other apps.

4. Reeltap assets

The App includes or lets you download templates, effects, filters, transitions, text styles, stickers, fonts and sounds (“Reeltap Assets”). You may use Reeltap Assets inside videos you make with the App, for personal or commercial purposes, including posting and monetising them on social platforms. You may not extract, sell, share or redistribute Reeltap Assets on their own (for example, as a template pack, font file or sound library), or use them to build a competing product. Some assets are provided by third parties under their own licences, listed on our licenses page.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to:

• create or share content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, sexually exploits minors, harasses, threatens or incites violence or hatred;
• create deceptive content that impersonates real people without their consent or is intended to mislead;
• interfere with, attack, scrape or overload our servers, or circumvent any security or usage limits;
• manipulate credits, rewards, invite codes or ads (for example with bots, emulators or fake accounts).

6. Ads, credits and purchases

• Ads. The free version is supported by ads. Some premium content can be unlocked by watching a rewarded ad.
• Credits and rewards. Credits earned through invites or other promotions are a limited licence to use certain features. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and may expire or change if a feature is retired. We may revoke credits obtained through fraud or abuse.
• Purchases. If we offer paid features or subscriptions, they are billed by Apple or Google under their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

7. AI and automatic features

Auto captions, translation, background removal, tracking and similar features are automatic and may produce mistakes. Please review results before you publish. Don't rely on them where accuracy is critical.

8. Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties such as Apple, Google, Cloudflare and AI providers, and may link to other platforms where you share your videos. We aren't responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

9. Changes and availability

We're constantly improving Reeltap and may add, change or remove features, content or Reeltap Assets at any time. We may suspend or end the Services, or your access to them, if you breach these Terms or if we need to for legal, security or operational reasons.

10. Our intellectual property

The App, website, Reeltap name and logo, and Reeltap Assets (other than third-party materials) are owned by Reeltap and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don't give you any rights in them except the limited licences above. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.

11. Copyright complaints

If you believe content provided through the Services infringes your copyright, email legal@reeltap.app with a description of the work, where it appears, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT PROJECTS WILL NEVER BE LOST — PLEASE KEEP COPIES OF FOOTAGE AND EXPORTS THAT MATTER TO YOU.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REELTAP WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, CONTENT, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD 50. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that can't be waived.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Reeltap against claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the App from Apple's App Store: these Terms are between you and Reeltap, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App; to the extent any warranty applies and the App fails to conform to it, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation; Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal-compliance or consumer-protection claims, or third-party intellectual-property claims; you confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited parties; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@reeltap.app so we can try to resolve it informally. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and courts of the country where you live.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, give notice in the App. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept them.
